Hang over

I used to suffer from headache and vomiting the following day after an excessive alcohol intake. But there were times na walang hang over as if I didn't drink the previous day. I don't know, maybe it depends on my body's mood, weather weather lang.

But now, even if I drink just 2 bottles of beer, I still experience "hell" the next day. Sobrang wasted the whole day. Maybe because as I age, my body couldn't cope anymore.

I started drinking alcoholic beverages since I was in early High School. A few drinks with classmates, sisters, friends until I have gotten used to drinking a lot. And I always get a hang over. Walang kadala-dala hehe! At lagi kong sinasabi, ayoko na! di na ko iinom ulit! ayoko na talaga! but then I'll still drink, hik! hehe!

Now, I seldom drink. And if I do, I limit myself to 2 bottles. But if I can cheat, 1 bottle or none at all is good enough for me. I just suddenly lost interest in alcoholic beverages. I now prefer fruit shakes over a glass of beer or a shot of tequilla (eeewww!)

I don't promise to completely stop from drinking. But I noticed that I have learned to say no. I guess that's a good start :) Wish me luck!

Loot Bags

It has always been a pleasure for me to give loot bags and prizes to the kids during family occasions like Christmas,birthdays, easter sundays, etc. Hay... It feels good when you see the smile on their faces :)

Yesterday, my sister told me to visit Ever Gotesco coz they have a lot of kids' stuff on sale. So I dropped by on my way home this afternoon. Wow, imagine me almost sitting on the floor hoarding all the stuff I can get for Boom's birhday (Boom by the way is my pamangkin/anak, hehe!) The stuff on sale were the ones in a small shelf hidden in the corner of the department store. It was like a treasure hunt for me :) And to top it all off, I only spent around P700 for all these.

Juday-Ryan Surprise Wedding!

People are surprised about the latest buzz that Juday and Ryan finally tied the knot this morning in San Juan, Batangas.

I was impressed by their strategy to keep it a secret because even if they have the means to make it bongga, they chose to make it simple with only close family and friends around to witness their marriage vows. At ang galing nilang magtago ng secret in fairnezzz!

I guess it reflects of the woman's personality. Simple. She could have a very expensive and well-publicized wedding if she wanted to but she chose otherwise. The best thing about it is that everyone was just requested to wear something in white. Sobrang no pressure and bonggahang gowns for the guests.





Meanwhile, if I may ask, what's your dream wedding?

Wendy's

Back in High School days, our family's favorite fast food was Wendy's because of the salad bar. It was a fun time for us everytime we order the salad kasi it's a challenge to put in all you want in the dish nang hindi nahuhulog kasi wala nang balikan after mo umalis ng salad bar.

Yesterday, I learned that they don't have it anymore. Kakasad:( Although they still have the salad pero naka pack na sya :( baka nalugi sila hahaha!

Easter Sunday and Kitten's 3rd Birthday

It was a double celebration for the family last Sunday, 12 April. The annual Easter egg hunting and Kitten's 3rd birthday. As usual, we prepared various prizes and loot bags for the kids (their simple joys). There were also cash prizes to add extra thrill to the games :)

Bamba and Boom shared their talents during the talent portion. Bamba's famous poem "Ang dakila kong Ama" na tatlong beses naming pinaulit and Boom's sing and dance "Chikie Maomao".

Jumbo won in the teeny-boppers' game, hep-hep horey (keber sa spelling!). Biruin mo yun di daw nya alam yung game, hehe!

Wanted: My Favorite Pocketbook

Since High School or maybe earlier, I was already fond of reading comics and pocketbooks. In fact, there was this pocketbook that I love but got lost or maybe thrown away. The story was so cute and kilig. Even my cousin, Coco, who also got to read the book still remembers the story up to this day. She even took the time to re-wrap it because the cover was already old and torn. Hay:(

The title is Playing for Keeps by Mills and Boon. I don't remember the name of the author:(

If there's anyone who has an idea where I could get a copy, please let me know :)

Pagsanjan, Laguna and Morong, Rizal

We have been invited by my sister's friend, Joyce for an overnight stay in Pagsanjan, Laguna. We were to take the Rizal route going to Pagsanjan to avoid the traffic in the South Super Highway so we decided to visit our lolas in Morong, Rizal on our way to Laguna. We left early before our scheduled meet up with Joyce and family so that we could spend a few minutes with our lolas. It's been years since the last time I came to visit them because I was busy with work and studies. I also took the chance to have my picture taken at Martinez St that was named after my lolo, Atty Ruperto Martinez, who was a former Governor of Rizal wayback in 1920s.






In Pagsanjan, we went to a few churches for the Bisita Iglesia. Right after, we went to their farm and roamed around to get a feel of a real farm (FYI, I'm a virtual farm addict, hehe!) We saw geese, rabbits, fish pond, and fruit bearing trees like ponkan and bayabas.

We also went to Step-rite, a well known shoe store in Pagsanjan:) I was able to buy two sandals for only P185, hehe!



Before we left this morning, we took several pics again. This time in the family house's terrace overlooking Pagsanjan lake. Nice!





I was glad that my sister brought us with them. The family was hospitable and very accomodating, we really had a great time:)

Pagsanjan, Laguna and Morong, Rizal

We have been invited by my sister's friend, Joyce for an overnight stay in Pagsanjan, Laguna.
